Shipping policy

General Information
After an order is placed, our team will contact the customer within three business days to confirm details and arrange delivery. Orders within New York City are delivered, free of charge, within seven days from the date of confirmed payment. For orders outside of New York, deliveries are scheduled within two weeks from the date of confirmed payment.
Delivery windows are estimates and may shift due to routing, weather, traffic, or building access constraints. If a customer needs to reschedule, notice must be given at least 48 hours in advance. We will coordinate a mutually available time window. Delays caused by weather, traffic, or carrier issues are outside of our responsibility.

Local Delivery (New York City)
Delivery is free and includes carry-in (room-of-choice). Please inform us in advance about access constraints (doorway width, tight turns, elevator reservations).

U.S. Shipping (Outside of New York)
Standard service is curbside delivery only. Carrier will deliver the item to the curb or the nearest safe drop-off point at your address. Scheduling typically occurs within up to 14 days from confirmed payment, subject to routing and carrier availability. Signature may be required.
Curbside delivery is invoiced after carrier quote. We’ll obtain a rate from the carrier and email you the shipping quote for approval. Upon your approval and payment of the shipping invoice, we’ll proceed to scheduling. No charges will be applied without your consent.

Risk of Loss & Title
Title transfers upon our receipt of full payment. Risk of loss transfers upon delivery to your shipping address (or, for customer pick-ups, upon hand-off).

Inspection & Damage Window
Please inspect items at delivery. Any visible or concealed transit damage or shortage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery to order@balbanyc.com with your order number and clear photos.
No original packaging is required.

Building Requirements (COI)
If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI), scheduling may require additional lead time.

Redelivery & Storage
Missed or refused appointments, incorrect addresses, or site-access issues may incur redelivery and/or storage fees, payable before rescheduling and non-refundable unless caused by our error or a confirmed carrier defect.

Proof of Delivery
A signature may be required at delivery. If no authorized recipient is present, a redelivery fee may apply.

Address & Access
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and ensuring safe access. Incorrect addresses or inaccessible locations may result in delays and redelivery fees.

Delivery Limitations
We cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or locations with carrier restrictions.

Weather & Safety
Deliveries may be paused or rescheduled due to weather or safety concerns.
